What happens if you stop talking?
You can't just match and wait out the clock. The reveal timer only moves while you're both genuinely talking — go quiet and it pauses, leave it too long and it freezes. Effort earns the reveal, not patience. Here's how the three states work, exactly as they appear in the app.

The 7-day reveal timer starts the moment you match. Keep the conversation alive to stay Active — if the chat goes quiet for more than 48 hours, it gets Paused.

While a chat is Paused, your 7-day countdown freezes. You can send 1 message to nudge your match, but the clock won’t restart until they reply. Once they do, the chat goes back to Active and the timer resumes right where it left off. Stay paused for 7 days and it gets Frozen.

Frozen chats are essentially dead — they can’t be revived without a Premium subscription. Premium lets you send 1 message to a frozen match, which moves the chat back to Paused while you wait for their reply. Left frozen for more than 30 days, the chat disappears for good.
